BOTOX® Cosmetic
Botox® is commonly used to reduce the wrinkles that are accentuated by facial expression. Commonly treated areas include the frown lines, the forehead wrinkles, and the lines around the eyes (crow’s feet). Botox® can also be used to treat the lines around the lips, to elevate the corners of the mouth, to reduce the pebbly look on the chin, to soften the lines on the neck, and other areas on the face. Botox® works by relaxing the muscles that cause facial expression thereby eliminating the wrinkles. It entails a series of injections with a very small needle. It is a quick procedure with virtually no side effects and the duration of effect is 3-4 months. Botox® has a very high patient satisfaction rate and has been safely used in millions of patients.

BOTOX® For Hyperhidrosis

Botox® is an excellent and FDA approved method to control hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) in the armpits. It is also excellent to control excessive sweating for the palms, soles, and face. Hyperhidrosis is a serious medical condition that can severely impact the quality of ones’ lifestyle. Treatment with Botox® requires a series of injections at the sites of hyperhidrosis. The duration of effect averages about 9 months and patients have had excellent results with this quick procedure.

Widely available in Europe for several years, Dysport® was FDA approved on April 30, 2009 as a simple, effective, non-surgical treatment that works by relaxing facial muscles to reduce and smooth away wrinkles such as the frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines. Clinical trials have shown that Dysport® has a fast onset of action and lasts for 4 months. Dysport is supported by over a decade of clinical experience. Dysport® was developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1990s to successfully treat a number of neurological and ophthalmic conditions. Since that time, with an increased understanding of the uses of Dysport®, thousands of treatments have been safely and effectively performed for a variety of conditions ranging from frown lines to excessive sweating in the armpits.

Restylane® is a very popular filling agent used to fill in nasolabial folds (laugh lines around the nose and mouth), the wrinkles at the corners of the mouth, sunken cheeks, the hollowed appearance below the eyes, and to augment and shape the lips. It is composed of a polymer called hyaluronic acid which is a natural substance found below the skin to provide structure together with collagen.

Restylane® is administered through a series of injections and is a quick procedure. The risk of an allergic reaction is negligible and no skin testing is required. The duration can last for several months with a very high patient satisfaction rate.

Juvéderm™ is the latest dermal filler advance from Allergan Inc (the same company that manufactures Botox®.) Juvéderm™ is a smooth gel, non-animal dermal filler offering a natural look and feel which offers long-lasting results for up to six months or longer. Juvéderm™ has the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid and highest cross-linking through a special formulation process. This process creates a smooth gel that flows easily into the skin, creating smooth, natural looks. No skin testing is required with Juvéderm™. Juvéderm™ is excellent for the folds around the nose, mouth, to better define your lips, and other parts of the face.

Radiesse® is a safe, next generation cosmetic dermal filler that lasts longer than the former leading filler and is setting a new standard for the correction of facial lines and wrinkles, restoring a natural, youthful look in an easy, convenient treatment. Numerous medical studies have shown that Radiesse® is a safe, longer lasting treatment to fill and correct smile lines, nasolabial folds and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. Radiesse® is FDA approved to safely correct wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth, including the nasolabial folds and stimulates your skin to produce new collagen. No skin allergy testing is required prior to treatment. Radiesse is made of very small, smooth calcium hydroxylapitite microspheres, which are suspended in a water-based gel carrier. As Radiesse® is injected, the gel and Radiesse® microspheres form a scaffold that stimulates your own collagen production and encouraging tissue growth in and around the injection area. Over time, your body absorbs the gel carrier while collagen has started to grow and infiltrate the area, replacing the gel with your own, natural tissue. The Radiesse® microspheres continue to provide the support and structure for your body to grow new tissue and collagen until the microspheres are also safely and naturally absorbed into your body. The results of a Radiesse® treatment are immediate and typically lasts a year or more.

Fat Transfer
Fat transfer is a procedure whereby fat is extracted from one part of your body (abdomen, buttocks, thighs are typical areas) and reinjected back into other parts of the body for correction. Several tablespoons of fat are removed through a micro-liposuction technique. Common areas of filling include the nasolabial folds, lips, cheeks, temple, below the eyes, the chin and jaws. The back of the hands is also treated to correct the natural aging and thinning process. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia. Some swelling and bruising may be present for a week. Fat that is left over from the initial harvesting is frozen and used for future use if further treatments are required. Typically, another session is performed in a few months.

Sclerotherapy for Leg Veins
Unwanted and unsightly "spider" veins  in the legs can occur from continuous standing, pregnancy, and birth control pills. Spider veins can be hereditary and occur naturally with time. Sclerotherapy is a series of injections composed of concentrated saline solution that is injected into the spider veins to close them off. Depending on the extent of the spider veins, more than one session may be required. Typically, a patient wears support stockings for a few days after treatment to gain maximal benefit from sclerotherapy. Repeat sessions are performed every 8 weeks apart.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are frequently performed to refresh the quality of your skin and to reverse the damage from sun exposure. Chemical peels can remove unwanted age spots, improve the texture of the skin through exfoliation, and to firm and tighten the skin. There are different strengths of chemical peels ranging from light peels (glycolic acid), medium peels (salicylic acid, lactic acid, Jessner’s), and heavy peels (TCA). With the lighter to medium strengths, a series of peels is recommended to maintain your improvement.
