DiamondGlow is a noninvasive skin resurfacing treatment that can restore a smoother texture and more radiant complexion. DiamondGlow is a dermabrasion treatment that uses diamond crystals to gently remove the outermost layer of skin to stimulate the production of new collagen. Preparation

Once Dr. Hekmatjah has established your treatment plan, he will provide you with a set of preparation instructions. These instructions are fairly straightforward, but following them will optimize your treatment, recovery, and results. They include:

  • Avoiding the Sun: Avoid unprotected or excessive sun exposure, and ensure you wear the proper sun protection when leaving the house.
  • Altering Your Routine: Refrain from using harsh skin products that may affect your skin’s natural barrier function.
  • Arriving Prepared: Arrive at your appointment with clean skin that is free from skincare products, makeup, fragrances, or facial piercings.

Procedure

On the day of your treatment, Dr. Hekmatjah will lead you to a private treatment room. He will then begin your procedure by cleansing the skin to remove impurities from its surface. Dr. Hekmatjah will then use the DiamondGlow handpiece across the entire treatment area, which will simultaneously exfoliate, extract, and infuse your skin at once.

  • Exfoliate: Dr. Hekmatjah will use the diamond-tipped handpiece to physically exfoliate the outermost layers of your skin. By doing so, he can effectively remove dead or damaged skin cells and reveal the fresher and brighter skin underneath.
  • Extract: The combination of suction technology and abrasion can deeply cleanse dirt and debris from the inside of your pores.
  • Infuse: While the pores are open, the handpiece will apply a targeted serum to your skin to permeate into its underlying layers. Dr. Hekmatjah will customize the serum he uses according to your skin type and needs.

Recovery

DiamondGlow treatments require no downtime, which means that you can return to your routine immediately after your treatment. However, you will need to follow certain guidelines to ensure your skin heals properly, including:

  • Protecting Your Skin: Wear the proper sun protection when leaving the house.
  • Avoid Makeup: Refrain from applying makeup in the treated areas for 24 to 48 hours after your appointment.
  • Using Gentle Products: Use gentle face cleansers and avoid using harsh skincare products around the treated regions.

Microneedling

Microneedling is a skin rejuvenation treatment that can stimulate the new production of collagen to address visible signs of facial aging and correct certain skin conditions. Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)

Intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy is a treatment that uses light energy to improve pigmentation irregularities, address unwanted hair growth, and stimulate the production of collagen. Dr. Hekmatjah can perform this treatment by delivering intense pulses of light energy into the skin. As the light is absorbed, it is converted into heat energy and damages the targeted cells, leading to brighter, more evenly-toned skin.
